SIXIS is where a good idea for an interior product becomes a circular, 3D-printed object. The name is short for six axis — the robot arm that prints every piece, and the reason our forms can be one continuous line.
Most furniture is made far away, in quantities someone guessed at, from material nobody can name. We work the other way round: we know the plastic because we recycled it ourselves, and we know the quantity because you ordered it. Printing starts after the sale, not before.
The pairing sounds contradictory — a designer's handwork and a fully automated machine — and that tension is the whole point. Sketching, testing, failing and reprinting costs us material and an afternoon, not a mould and six months. So failure doesn't really exist here. Only the next iteration.
